The most emphatic improvement to a top dCS (Scarlatti / Vivaldi) has to be the addition of an Antelope Audio Isochrone 10M atomic clock. This product has an effect totally out of all proportion to it’s cost.
The benefits are across the board: Pitching, timing, dynamic and spatial. Essentially focussing the entire system in a way that is difficult to credit. It is becoming increasingly clear to us that clocking of digital systems is more important than other influences on digital playback such as sampling rate and word length.
