Well, possibly not ever, because when we first heard Focal (back in the day they were JM Lab) we were totally gobsmacked. But certainly we have grown accustomed to a range that has improved in reasonably predictable steps forward. The Sopra sort of comes from left field and surprises you with what you didn’t know you were missing, until you hear it.
Think electrostatic, but with the coherent, dynamic, musical energy that electrostats miss. You won’t be far off the mark.
